Yay! I’m glad you’re here! I’m Jasmine and I look forward to meeting you! You're taking a positive and important step towards the possibility of change, personal growth, and feeling better. You have many options for providers, I’m happy you’re considering me.

Without question, finding a therapist with whom you can form a good and trusting relationship is vital. The initial consult will allow you to get a feel for my style of counseling, vibes, and personality… and vice versa!

ABOUT MY PRACTICE

Life is tough. I aim to help my clients see that they are tougher. I want to make therapy feel like a safe time and place that helps you feel lighter and refreshed after each session. If you leave the session thinking, “I cannot believe that I just told her that, but I am glad that I did”, then I will feel like I have done my job well. There is no judgment here. Please, come on in and be your messy, complicated, lovable, fantastic self.

Treatment looks different for each person, it isn’t one-size-fits-all…. Honestly, what truly is one-size-fits-all? I am an eclectic psychotherapist who pulls from various frameworks to meet you where you are and tailor treatment to you.  I most often pull from Person-Centered and Psychodynamic approaches to help facilitate change and growth through increased insight and awareness into the impact of past experiences and beliefs on present thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. I also work to incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Positive Psychology, and Mindfulness approaches that are tailored to your specific treatment goals and values.

What all of that means is that I am a non-judgmental listener. I can objectively and compassionately explore your patterns, help you gain awareness of thoughts and actions, and support you while you make changes that work for you. Everyone has unique gifts, and I will assist you in identifying and amplifying your strengths in order to maintain wellness.

I like to ensure that my clients leave sessions with tangible takeaways so that they can continue our work outside of our meeting. This way, when you leave each session you have something to practice right away to manage whatever stressors life has thrown your way.

I specialize in mood disorders, trauma, adjustment issues, maternal mental health issues, and BIPOC mental health issues

ABOUT MY CLIENTS

I treat adults (18+). No children at this time.

Does this sound like you: A capable and intelligent person, who always seems to have it together and yet always feels on the verge of chaos? A person who cannot sit still without feeling guilt? A person who says yes, because they don’t want to impose on others?

My clients are individuals with high-functioning anxiety, perfectionistic tendencies, and high expectations for themselves. I’m here to help.

Does this sound like you: A first-time mom who read all the books and took the classes, but now that baby is here, you are feeling more lost than ever? A first-time mom who cries when the baby cries? A mom who feels guilt and shame about wanting to return to work? A mom that feels alone, like no one understands or cares to understand? A mama trying to keep all of the balls in the air, and all the balls are on fire, and your kiddo just learned how to say ‘no’, and you’re out of detergent?

My clients are moms struggling to cope and adapt to motherhood. Moms that want to get out of the ‘funk’ but feel stuck. I’m here to help.

Does this sound like you: A person who doesn’t feel like they fit in ‘anywhere’? A person who falls in the misunderstood grey area of not being “X” enough or “Y” enough? A person who has been marginalized or discriminated against? A person confused about their racial identity?

My clients are people from all walks of life. My clients have felt ‘other’ or ‘not a part of’ for too long. My clients want to understand themselves and their identities better. I’m here to help.

Does this sound like you: A person who is a survivor, who has been through hell, seen more than most, but is weighed down by it all? A person that needs help healing from their traumatic past or childhood? A person who doesn’t want to be burdened by their past anymore? A person that is affected by an event even though others have been affected by ‘bigger’ events (trauma is trauma, there is no comparison that makes your experience any less painful for you).

My clients have experienced trauma and are ready to heal.

Does this sound like you: A person who is having a hard time feeling like themselves? A person that has no energy and no desire to do things they once enjoyed? A person that feels heavy most of the time? A person that wants to feel good, but can’t figure out how.

My clients are everyday folks, having a hard time coping with everyday life. I’m here to help.

I’ve found that this is where my passion lies- with those who feel lost, misunderstood, and off-course. I want to help you feel better; help you to see that this isn’t the entirety of your story, just a chapter or two.  It can get better, and when you do the work, it will. I believe everyone needs and deserves a safe space to be who they are and openly express themselves. I wanted to create a safe space for people who are seeking counseling to feel safe, supported, and at ease. I also enjoy working with those who are LGBTQ, queer, non-monogamous, and anyone else who wants to be sure they will be met with non-judgment and understanding by a therapist (I identify as a hetero, cis-gender, Black-American, Native-American, Christian female. My pronouns are she/her. I am a HAES and LGBTQIA+  aligned clinician and I support a Free Palestine.

Non-Clinical Things of Interest

I am a do-it-yourself kind of gal- if something is broken in the house, I have no problem pulling out the power tools to see if I can repair it before calling a professional.  I also enjoy repurposing old furniture, building new furniture, problem-solving, and all things craft (hand embroidery, painting, Cricut stuff, scrapbooking, digital design, etc.).

My husband and I have two toddlers a daughter and a son. They are exactly 2 years apart and are insanely perfect. Who knew drooling could be cute?! I am a crunchy mom, trying my best, and winning and failing daily.

My birthday is November 3rd. I get very excited about my birthday. I am in the 30-40 age group. I am a lover of quotes, you will likely hear me say ‘Good things take time’ at one point or another, as it is my favorite quote.  Reading, organizing, planning trips, thrift shopping, decorating, list-making, board games, and spending time with family & friends are my favorites.
